The children love the Play dough centre! It is more than just play…here is what we are learning from playing with play dough:

-advancing our fine motor skills

-toning our manipulative skills

-using our imaginations

-putting ideas into shapes

-developing artistic skills

Here is a new play dough recipe that I received from Syena’s mom, Sepideh! I love this recipe so if you want to use this one instead of the original one I gave you it might work out better!

Play Dough Recipe

2 1/2 cups of flour

2 tbsp cream of tartar

1/2-1/4 cup of salt

1 1/2 cup boiling water

2 tbsp food colouring

2 tbsp vegetable oil

Add flour and cream of tartar together

Add salt and water stir to disolve salt then add food colouring

add oil to flour mixture

mix water to flour mixture kneed play dough and add more flour if needed.
